Day 1 – Sounds of Spring

Here we go! Today is April 1st, the first day of National Poetry Month and officially the start of this challenge. As a reminder, I’m going to post an original poem every day for the month and see where it goes. Basically, I’ll just post a poem every day for you. Easy enough.

Sounds of Spring

Time moves in mysterious ways tonight.

Slowly, yet so fast.
It is a night of little hands
And newspaper.
Split lips, and flannel pants, and Dirty Dancing.
Springtime is coming, so soon I can taste it on the air,
Bringing in life.
Time,
Moving so rapidly,
Ready,
To renew itself into flowers.
